Renowned Islamic scholar and preacher, Sheikh Muhydeen Ajani Bello, passed away on Friday at the age of 84.
Newsmen reports that the cleric’s death was announced on Facebook by Ibadan-based cleric Sheikh Akewugbagold Taofeek.
According to Akewugbagold, the revered preacher returned to his Creator on Friday, and he prayed that God would be pleased with his soul.

Sheikh Muhydeen Ajani Bello was born in 1940 into the family of Alhaji Bello Ajani and Alhaja Ubaidat Bello of Arolu Compound, Ita Olukoyi, Ibadan.

He completed his elementary and secondary education at I.D.C. School, Elekuro, Ibadan.

Between 1963 and 1967, he attended Mahdul Arabiy, Elekuro, where he gained proficiency in Arabic and Islamic studies.
