Why many Nigerian Celebrities can’t live in US – Lord Lamba

Skit maker Lord Lamba has explained why many Nigerian celebrities who travel to the United States often return home quickly.

Lamba, in a video, said the main reason is the stark difference in the cost of living between the two countries.

Lord Lamba emphasised that while people earn in dollars in the US, the bills are also in dollars, which can quickly lead to financial strain.

According to him: “You see most of your celebrities, they’ll come to the United States. Bro, two weeks, they’re back home. They’re crazy.”

He further explained that paying bills in dollars can be overwhelming, unlike in Nigeria where the cost of living is relatively lower.

He said: “If you pay bills, you think it’s Nigerian bills? You go broke. You pay bills, you go broke. You want to come to United States?

Lord Lamba jokingly challenged content creators to stay in the US for six months without going broke, saying, “I dare any content creator to come and stay in the United States for six months. If you no broke, make I bend”.
