Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced that the N20 reduction in the price of its Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) is a gesture of appreciation to Nigerians.
Newsmen reports that the company, in a statement issued on Sunday by its Group Chief Branding and Communications Officer, Anthony Chiejina, stated that the price of PMS has been reduced from N990 per litre to N970 per litre for marketers.
Explaining the rationale behind the decision, the refinery stated that the move is both a token of gratitude to Nigerians for their unwavering support and an acknowledgement of the government’s efforts in fostering a conducive environment for domestic enterprises.
The statement also addressed concerns about fuel supply, assuring the public that the refinery is committed to increasing production to meet and exceed domestic consumption needs.
The company, however, reiterated its commitment to maintaining the highest quality standards and delivering products that are both environmentally friendly and sustainable.
The statement reads, “Dangote Petroleum Refinery has effected a reduction in the prevailing price of its Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) from N990/litre to N970/litre for the marketers.
“As the year comes to an end, this is our way of appreciating the good people of Nigeria for their unwavering support in making the Refinery a dream come true. In addition, this is to thank the government for their support as this will complement the measures put in place to encourage domestic enterprise for our collective well-being.
“While the refinery would not compromise on the quality of its petroleum products, we assure you of best quality products that are environmentally friendly and sustainable.
“We are determined to keep ramping up production to meet and surpass our domestic fuel consumption; thus, dispelling any fear of a shortfall in supply.”
