Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi has drawn attention to the team’s lodging situation in Morocco after sharing a video showing the substandard conditions at the hotel provided ahead of their 2026 FIFA World Cup African play-off against Gabon.

The video captures peeling walls, unkempt surroundings, and laundry hanging outside rooms at the accommodation where players and officials are staying as they prepare for the November 13 clash.

  1. This is a shame. The organizers should have simply told the boys that they have no money for accommodation. In any match, footballers requires befitting accommodations. If NFF hired this, it is a disgrace to the nation. Players needs comfortable accommodation for emotional relaxation. Are there no psychologist in NFF federation again. This is horrible.
