Social media personality Martins Otse, popularly known as Verydarkman (VDM), and comedian Freedom Atsepoyi, aka Mr Jollof, were involved in a physical altercation aboard a flight.
The incident was first brought to public attention by Facebook user Dr Paul Ezikel, who shared a video of the encounter on his page on Monday morning.
According to the post, the confrontation took place on a United Nigerian Airline flight from Asaba, Delta State, to Lagos.
VDM and Mr Jollof have reportedly clashed previously on social media, following allegations from VDM that Mr Jollof’s wife was involved with Yahoo boys, a remark that escalated tensions between them.
VDM confirmed the altercation on his Facebook page, claiming responsibility for confronting the comedian during the flight.
“I don chop Jollof father for inside plane. He bite me, man wey de bite,” he said in the video.
