President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has officially sworn in two newly appointed ministers, Dr. Bernard Mohammed Doro and Mr. Kingsley Tochukwu Udeh, during a brief ceremony held inside the Council Chamber of the State House, Abuja.
The swearing-in took place just before the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting, which was presided over by the President.
Dr. Doro, a pharmacist and lawyer from Plateau State, assumes the ministerial role previously held by the former Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, who now serves as the National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Both Doro and Yilwatda hail from Plateau State. Dr. Doro’s nomination was confirmed by the Senate in late October.

Mr. Udeh, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) from Enugu State, fills the vacancy left by the resignation of the former Minister of Science, Innovation, and Technology, Uche Nnaji, who stepped down following allegations of certificate forgery.
Udeh’s appointment was confirmed by the Senate yesterday after a brief screening session during plenary. Prior to joining the federal cabinet, he served as the Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice in Enugu State.
Immediately after, the FEC meeting commenced with a report on the state of the economy presented by the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Mr. Wale Edun.
The meeting was attended by key officials, including the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume; the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (HoCSF), Mrs. Esther Didi Walson-Jack; the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila; the National Security Adviser (NSA), Mallam Nuhu Ribadu; as well as most other members of the Council, including ministers and special advisers.
