Two men suspected to be herders have slaughtered a 16-yrs old girl in Ekiti State after she resisted their attempt to rape her.
According to reports, the girl (name withheld) went to farm with her brother in Emure-Ekiti, Emure LGA.
However, they were ambushed on the road by two men suspected to be herders.
The brother escaped but his younger sister was held by the suspects, who killed her after she resisted their rape attempts.
Meanwhile, two persons have been arrested in connection with the incident.
When contacted, the Public Relations Officer, Ekiti State Police Command, SP Sunday Abutu, confirmed the incident.
He said he would release further details later.
