Pastor Ifeoluwa Akindayomi, the youngest son of the late founder of The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pa Josiah Akindayomi, has passed away at the age of 63.

According to Church Times, Pastor Ifeoluwa died on Sunday, November 2, 2025 — nearly 45 years after his father’s death and just months after the loss of his elder brother, Pastor Kolade Akindayomi, who passed in May.

Sources close to the family described his death as sudden and shocking, noting that he had appeared to be in good health. He reportedly chaired a wedding ceremony on Saturday and joined a prayer walk at the RCCG Camp in Ogun State early Sunday morning.

Tragedy struck shortly after he returned home and began preparing for church. He was said to have missed a step, fallen, and hit his head on a sharp object. Efforts to rush him to a nearby hospital were unsuccessful, as he succumbed to his injuries before medical assistance could arrive.

Until his passing, Pastor Ifeoluwa served as the Assistant Provincial Pastor of RCCG Ogun Province 5 and was also a successful businessman in the printing industry.

Family sources disclosed that his wife and children, who live in Canada, had been urging him to relocate permanently. Although he had recently obtained permanent residency in Canada and was making plans to join them, he decided to remain in Nigeria a little longer to oversee his business and ministry.
