Members of the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF) convened a closed-door meeting on Thursday night at the Council Chamber of the Kebbi State Government House in Birnin Kebbi.
The meeting, chaired by Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma, brought together governors elected under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Top on the agenda was a discussion on key national issues and internal matters concerning the ruling party.
According to a Channels TV report on Friday, the APC National Chairman, Nentawe Yilwatda, was also in Kebbi but did not take part in the meeting.
In a statement announcing his arrival on Thursday, Yilwatda explained that besides the PGF meeting, he would also attend the inauguration of the Tinubu Kauran Gwandu Movement for Continuity State Secretariat.
“Over the next two days, APC governors will engage in closed-door sessions to deliberate on critical national and party matters.
“As a party, we remain committed to the unity, good governance, and the vision of the Renewed Hope for all Nigerians,” he wrote.
