With the unfolding political atmosphere in Osun State, it is becoming increasingly clear that plans are taking shape regarding Governor Ademola Adeleke’s direction for the 2026 governorship election.
As a loyal member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), I stand firmly behind him, not because of personal gains or expectations, but because of the vision, commitment, and transformative leadership he continues to demonstrate.
Governor Adeleke has consistently shown that governance can be people centered, transparent, and development driven.
Under his leadership, Osun State has witnessed remarkable progress, renewed hope, and a governance style rooted in empathy and accountability.
These achievements give us confidence that wherever he chooses to contest from in 2026, we will follow wholeheartedly to ensure the continuity of good governance.
Within the Osun PDP, the leadership is actively working to restructure and restrategize ahead of the coming election.
The collective goal is to build a winning structure, one that reflects unity, discipline, and readiness.
Our party understands that elections are not won by chance but through deliberate planning, early preparation, and a united front.
A Call to Governor Adeleke: Declaring Early Means Winning Early
I am using this medium to appeal to our dear Governor to make his position known in good time.
An early declaration will allow for robust internal discussions, strategic alignment, and timely mobilization. It will help us commence grassroots engagements, intensify our outreach, and reassure the electorate who are eager to see the continuation of his good works.
Campaigns are most effective when built on clarity and consistency. By stepping forward early, we can begin the essential conversations across wards, local governments, and communities on how to secure victory in 2026.
To the Electorate: Look Beyond Party Labels, Look at Performance
To the good people of Osun State, this is a moment to reflect on progress rather than political labels. Regardless of the party under which Governor Adeleke eventually contests, we must evaluate leadership based on results, integrity, and vision. The ongoing development projects, reforms, and people-centered policies speak for themselves.
Our focus should be on the governor’s track record and his vision for a brighter Osun.
