Ondo Poly Final Year Student found dead

A 28-year-old final-year student of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo, RUGIPO, identified as Precious Arobo, has reportedly died by suicide in Ondo State.

Arobo, a Higher National Diploma, HND, II student, was discovered lifeless in a bush close to his residence by members of the local community. According to sources, a suicide note was allegedly found at the scene, though details surrounding the incident remain unclear.

Preliminary findings suggest the note pointed to emotional struggles, possibly linked to a troubled relationship.

Family sources confirmed that he has been laid to rest, with relatives, friends, and fellow students mourning his death and describing him as compassionate and well-liked.

“He has been buried, and the parents were heartbroken over his death,” a close source said.

The Ondo State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Ayanlade Olayinka confirmed the incident, noting that an investigation is underway to establish the exact circumstances that led to the tragedy.
