Ondo-born Wrestler, Adekuoroye and Husband Welcomes First Child

Ondo-born Wrestler, Odunayo Folasade Adekuoroye MON, and her husband, Oladimeji Iyanda, have welcomed their first child together.

The three-time Commonwealth champion announced the arrival of her bundle of joy on Instagram, posting a series of photos from her pregnancy journey.

In the caption, Adekuoroye expressed gratitude to God for their newborn child. Although she didn’t reveal the date of birth and child’s gender, the wrestler asked for prayers as she and her husband embrace parenthood.

“Dear friends and fans, with immense joy, your favorite champion is thrilled to announce that I’ve embarked on the beautiful journey of motherhood. Our precious baby made a grand and royal arrival filling our hearts with boundless love and joy,” she wrote.

“Embracing this new role has been a profound experience, and I’m deeply grateful for the overwhelming divine support. We are grateful to GOD for the bundle of joy. As we navigate this cherished chapter, please keep us in your thoughts and share in our happiness.”

Adekuoroye, 31, and Iyanda got married in 2022. Known as one of Nigeria’s most decorated freestyle wrestlers, she has represented the country at the Olympics, Commonwealth Games, African Games, and multiple continental championships.

With an impressive career record, she boasts eight gold medals, one silver, and four bronze medals across various competitions.
