NUOLGS National Body Pays Courtesy Visit to The Honourable Commissioner for Education

The Leadership of the National Union of Okitipupa Local Government Students (NUOLGS) – National Body on 28th August 2025 paid a courtesy visit to the Honourable Ajibefun Igbekele Amos, Commissioner for Education, Ondo State.

The visit was aimed at congratulating the Honourable Commissioner on his well-deserved appointment, appreciating Mr. Governor for entrusting such a vital office to a capable hand, and seeking the Ministry’s continued support for the welfare and development of Okitipupa Local Government students.

Speaking during the visit, the National President of NUOLGS, Sen. Prince Adeoye Omoleminu, expressed profound appreciation to the Honourable Commissioner for his unwavering support to students and pledged to strengthen the working relationship between the Union and the Ministry.

He further highlighted strategic areas of collaboration that would benefit Okitipupa students, including:

Prompt payment and expansion of bursary schemes

Capacity building, entrepreneurship, leadership, and career advancement programs

Students’ empowerment initiatives

Recognition of NUOLGS as stakeholders in educational policy and implementation

Graduate Empowerment and Job Opportunities

In his response, the Honourable Commissioner commended the leadership of Okitipupa students for the courtesy visit and assured them of his readiness to support their initiatives whenever needed. He encouraged students to remain focused and committed to academic excellence.

The Commissioner further promised that graduates with strong academic performance will be given priority consideration whenever employment opportunities arise.
