The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has officially announced the list of candidates shortlisted to participate in the Zonal General Aptitude Test for the Direct Short Service Commission (DSSC) 34/2025 Enlistment Exercise.
In a statement issued on Tuesday by the Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, the Force confirmed that the aptitude test is scheduled for Saturday, 25 October 2025, and will take place at designated centres nationwide.
Shortlisted candidates have been urged to visit the official NAF Recruitment Portal at https://nafrecruitment.airforce.mil.ng to verify their names and access details of their assigned test centres.
“Eligible applicants are to report for the zonal general aptitude test at the centres indicated against their names on the Portal,” the statement read in part.
The DSSC provides an avenue for degree-holding professionals, including both civilians and serving military personnel, to gain commission as officers in the Nigerian Air Force.
Candidates who succeed in the test will undergo a rigorous military training programme, which typically spans 6 to 9 months.
NAF opened the application process in August, calling for applicants from a variety of professional backgrounds such as engineering, medicine, and cyber specialities, highlighting the Force’s commitment to meeting the demands of modern warfare.
