Many Parents find themselves searching for a unique name for their new baby, taking inspiration their favourite things, foods, colours or locations.Our names are a significant component of who we are; they are the first thing that others associate with us. So, if your name is challenging to say or spell, it might become a little more tough for you to function in daily life.
But some parents decide to give their kids unusual names, and thanks to social media, we can all learn about it and be inspired. Or not.
But instead of picking something unusual, Sandra Williams decided to get that uniqueness by coming up with a very, very, very long name for her baby daughter.
When the little girl was born on September 12, 1984, her parents wrote the name. There are 1,019 letters that spell out the girl with the longest name’s name.
However, her bizarre name didn’t start out that long. Initially, her name was Rhoshandiatellyneshiaunneveshenk Koyaanisquatsiuth Williams.
After a few weeks (and likely a few consultations of the Guinness record holders for longest name) “Rhoshandia…’s” parents filed an amendment and added many, many letters to form the lengthy moniker above.
Because of this, her birth certificate was over two feet long, which included her 36-letter middle name.
Sandra, Jamie’s mother, wanted to write two pieces of history: one for Guinness World Records and one for Jamie’s name.
Her birth certificate is two feet long, and her name set a Guinness World Record. If Jamie wanted to use her birth name, she had to make an effort. She finally taped her name and practiced it over and again until she had perfected it.
