The second edition of the Would You Marry You Conference was held on Saturday, 1st November, 2025, at RCCG Divine Glory Parish, Okota, Lagos, drawing hundreds of participants from within and outside the state.
The conference, convened by Marriage and Family Therapist, Busola Abiodun Adeagbo, carried the theme “Rewrite Your Story: Balance Your Life” and delivered yet another deeply inspiring and transformative experience.
The event brought together an impressive lineup of speakers, including Modupe Ehirim, Segun Matthew, Ayo Lawrence, Lara Kudayisi Don-Momoh, Sunmisola Duke, Ola Makinde, and Joseph Itive.
Each speaker addressed crucial topics related to emotional healing, self-awareness, personal growth, and setting healthy boundaries.
The sessions, panel discussions, and fireside chats resonated strongly with the audience, leaving many motivated to take charge of their lives and relationships.
One of the major highlights of the conference was the Would You Marry You Empowerment Grant, which provided financial assistance to eleven single mothers and widows to help strengthen their businesses and families.
Six beneficiaries received ₦100,000 each, while five others were awarded ₦50,000 each, amounting to a total of ₦850,000 in grants.
The gesture drew emotional reactions from the beneficiaries and attendees, many of whom expressed gratitude and shared testimonies of renewed faith and hope. Other attendees also benefitted from the massive giveaways.
The event also featured the Would You Marry You Leadership Excellence Awards, which honoured outstanding individuals making meaningful contributions to society.
Among the awardees were Mr. Emmanuel Sunday Oladiran, Mrs. Motunrayo Adeagbo, Mr. Michael Anyimah, Surveyor Olugbenga Adams, Mr. Lekan Okanlawon, Mrs. Helen Imaghodor, Mr. Funsho Shogunle, Barr. Nathaniel Ojiakor, and Mr. Tayo Olowe, among others, for their exemplary service and leadership.
The programme was powered by Buzz-Aid Therapy, with strong support from corporate sponsors including Danteetech Solution Arena, Seed of Knowledge Schools, OAB styles, Pagidi Expressions and The Jozizoe Foundation.
Individual sponsors such as Mr. Emmanuel Oladiran, Mr. Lekan Okanlawon, Surveyor Gbenga Adams, Mr. Funsho Shogunle, Mr. Israel Amoo, and Mr. Saheed Adeyemi also contributed to the success of the event, aligning with the vision of fostering emotionally healthy individuals and communities.
Speaking on the vision behind the conference, the convener, Busola Abiodun Adeagbo, described Would You Marry You Conference as “a call to self-reflection and transformation.” According to her, “Rewriting ones story requires awareness, healing, and the willingness to let go of patterns that no longer serve growth.”
The Would You Marry You Conference 2.0 has continued to receive glowing reviews from participants, who described it as “healing, practical, and truly life-changing.”
The event stood as a testament to the power of self-awareness, courage, and grace, reminding everyone that it is possible to rewrite their story and live a more fulfilled and balanced life.
