Kizz Daniel loses mother-in-law, announces music break

Nigerian music sensation Daniel Anidugbe, popularly known as Kizz Daniel, has announced a break from releasing new music until 2026.

The singer made the revelation on his X handle on Friday, stating, “After this, I no dey drop anything again until 2026.”

This announcement comes ahead of his highly anticipated EP, Uncle K, which is set to drop on November 29, 2024.

Since his 2016 breakout hit Woju, Kizz Daniel has established himself as one of Nigeria’s most consistent hitmakers, boasting an impressive discography of five studio albums and multiple chart-topping singles.

Amid the excitement over his EP and impending hiatus, Kizz Daniel shared a personal tragedy, revealing that his wife recently lost her mother to breast cancer. He appealed to his fanbase, the Vaddicts, for prayers in her honor.

“My wife lost her mom to breast cancer, and I’m here mourning with her… Say a prayer for her mom, Vaddicts,” he wrote.

The announcement has left fans reflecting on his impact in the industry while showing their support for him during this difficult time.
