The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, has inaugurated the new board of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), with former Kano State Governor and ex-APC National Chairman, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, as Chairman.
The inauguration ceremony took place in Abuja and brought together officials from key ministries and stakeholders in the aviation sector. According to the Ministry, the new board is expected to enhance oversight and improve operational efficiency within FAAN.
The eight-member board includes representatives from the Ministry of Aviation, Ministry of Tourism, Ministry of Defence, and the FAAN Managing Director/CEO.
Ganduje’s appointment as FAAN board chairman was initially made by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in January while Ganduje was still serving as the APC National Chairman. His formal swearing-in follows his recent resignation from the party leadership.
