JUST IN: Nigeria’s Inflation Rate Drops Again

The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) has reported that Nigeria’s headline inflation rate eased to 16.05 per cent in October 2025.

This information was disclosed by the NBS in its Consumer Price Index and Inflation report, which was shared on the bureau’s verified X (formerly Twitter) handle on Monday.

According to the report, the inflation rate fell from the 18.02 per cent recorded in September. It further noted that on a month-on-month basis, headline inflation inched up by 0.93 per cent during October.

The publication also highlighted a marginal relief in food costs, revealing that food inflation dropped by 0.37 per cent compared with the previous month.

This marks the seventh consecutive month in 2025 that Nigeria has recorded a decline in its overall inflation rate.
