Exposure of Wicked Wike And His Cohorts to Sabotage The 2025 National Convention

The internal tensions shaking the PDP today are not accidents. They are deliberate political maneuvers designed to weaken the party at a crucial time in Nigeria’s history.

As someone who loves the PDP and desires its revival as a strong national opposition, I believe it is important to speak plainly, without fear, without pretense, and without allowing political actors to rewrite history.

Exposure of Wike, Anyanwu, and Their Cohorts

From my own observation, analysis, and understanding of events within the PDP, it is important to remind Nigerians, especially loyal PDP members that Nyesom Wike and members of his faction, including the suspended National Secretary, Samuel Anyanwu, appear to be attempting to weaponize problems that largely originated from their own tenure and conduct.

Some of the internal issues they now loudly complain about include:

  • Irregularities in internal processes
  • Lack of coordination among party organs
  • Administrative lapses in communication and documentation
  • Poor handling of congresses and primaries in several states

But let us be truthful, these administrative responsibilities fell directly under Anyanwu’s office, and the vast majority of the “lapses” can be traced back to that very office.

Instead of taking responsibility, the same actors are now projecting their failures onto the authentic PDP leadership under Umar Damagum.

This is not just dishonest. It is a calculated political strategy aimed at destabilizing the party from within.

I also find it deeply troubling that Wike’s group reportedly went to Abuja and secured a court judgment designed intentionally or otherwise to halt the PDP national convention. This development, in my own judgment, is suspicious because:

  • It contradicts previous Supreme Court rulings, which clearly state that internal party management issues can not be used to stop or dissolve party activities.
  • It appears timed specifically to cause maximum disruption, coming just days to the convention.

This is not a coincidence. This looks like political sabotage dressed in legal clothing.

Nigerians must not forget the events in Ekiti State. Wike’s faction made every possible attempt to delay or frustrate the PDP governorship primary scheduled for November 8th—even though INEC had set November 11th as the final deadline. The intention, as I interpreted it, was simple:

Delay the primary → Prevent PDP from fielding a candidate → Hand victory to opponents.
But they failed because the Ekiti primary successfully held on November 8th.

Now, the same script is being reenacted at the national level.
They seek to stop the PDP National Convention slated for the 15th and 16th, even though the last legal date to hold it is December 9th.

Yet again, from where I stand, the intention is clear:

Destabilize the PDP → Create confusion → Force the party into crisis → Make it politically weak.

But just as they failed in Ekiti, I believe they will fail again.

The convention must hold

Let us stop deceiving ourselves: this is not merely a legal matter. This is a coordinated political ambush targeting the PDP at a moment when Nigerians desperately need a strong, united, and prepared opposition.

Yes, the Federal High Court in Abuja issued an order suspending the convention.

But as I see it:

  • The timing is too suspicious.
  • The motives are too unclear.
  • The political beneficiaries are too obvious.

Is it reasonable to believe that all this is a coincidence? I do not think so.

Millions Have Been Spent The Ambush Came Too Late. The PDP has already mobilized delegates from across the nation. Money has been spent on logistics, accommodation, transportation, security, and event preparation.

Musicians have been booked, Venues have been paid for, Will all these people refund their money because of a last-minute political grenade thrown at the heart of the party Absolutely not.

This looks, smells, and feels like a trap!!!

APC’s Visible Interest

From my personal analysis, the APC has every reason to fear a united PDP, especially after years of economic hardship, alarming insecurity, policy inconsistencies, the growing nationwide demand for alternatives, Weakening the PDP benefits the ruling party.

We must say the truth, even if it is uncomfortable. Nyesom Wike’s recent political movements, statements, and alliances, at least from my perspective, align far too comfortably with the interests of those who want the PDP destroyed. His faction, alongside figures like Lamido, appears determined to obstruct or frustrate the convention through court cases, media attacks, or political sabotage.

I firmly believe the convention must hold because:

  1. Suspending it gives victory to those who want the party destroyed. Surrendering now would validate the sabotage.
  2. Even if a court later nullifies it, the PDP can reconvene. But once the momentum is destroyed, rebuilding becomes harder.
  3. This is about the survival of the PDP. A national party can not be controlled by a faction acting against its collective interest.
  4. This is about resisting intimidation. If the PDP surrenders today, it will be bullied forever.
  5. Nigeria is watching. The country needs an opposition that is bold, firm, and unafraid.
  6. History will judge those who stood firm and those who sided with chaos.

Wike and his faction must understand that their continuous attempts to disrupt the PDP derail its processes and undermine the will of millions of loyal members can not succeed indefinitely.

Their plans, intentions, and political manoeuvres, in my view, will collapse one after another.

The truth will prevail!!!
The real PDP will stand!!!
The convention must hold!!!
Nigeria is watching!!!

And history, without mercy, will record who defended the party and who tried to destroy it.
