In May, an earlier Air Peace flight was grounded at the Asaba International Airport after colliding with a large antelope while taxiing, which caused disruption to scheduled flights.

Following that incident, the NCAA’s Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, Michael Achimugu, noted that such occurrences, though sometimes outside an airline’s control, still require full compliance with passenger protection obligations.
