Governor Ademola Adeleke has described Osun State’s performance in the newly released 2025 Third Quarter Fiscal Transparency Report as a strong confirmation of his administration’s commitment to transparency, accountability and good governance, Leadership reports .

In a statement signed by the Spokesperson to the Governor, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, Adeleke said the rating marks the state’s best performance in over a decade.

According to the governor, “This is a fantastic New Year Gift for the good people of Osun State.”

The report, released by civic organisation BudgIT Nigeria, ranked Osun State among 11 states nationwide that scored a perfect 100 per cent.

Reacting to the development, Governor Adeleke said the rating counters what he described as unfounded allegations by the opposition and reflects the impact of sustained fiscal reforms under his administration.

He said his administration operates an open and accountable system across all sectors, noting that Osun has consistently received commendations for its budgetary processes.

“We run a transparent, due process administration. Across the sectors, our budgetary process receives accolades and applause. Osun State has once again distinguished itself on the national stage, emerging as one of only 11 states to score a perfect 100% rating in the Q3 2025 Fiscal Transparency League Table,” he stated.

Governor Adeleke further said the latest assessment once again discredits opposition’s criticisms, adding that Osun has been well managed over the past three years in line with national and global benchmarks.

“The latest report has shamed the opposition again and affirmed that Osun in the last three years has been excellently managed going by national and global standards and going by positive ratings from observers, citizens and residents of the state,” he said.

“This ranking, which assesses states on the availability, timeliness, and completeness of key public finance documents, the functionality of e-procurement portals, and the accessibility of fiscal data repositories, underscores Osun’s strong commitment to open governance,” the governor noted.
