Ondo Govt Declares Saturday No Sanitation, Monday Work-Free Day

Ahead of the inauguration of the Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, slated for Monday, the state government has declared Monday, 24th of February 2025, as a public holiday in the State.

This was contained in a statement issued and signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan, who said the holiday becomes necessary to allow the people of the state to participate in the inauguration of the Governor.

Adeniyan also disclosed the cancellation of the monthly environmental sanitation in the state.

The statement reads, “The work-free day will allow the people of the State to participate in the activities of the inauguration of Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa and Deputy Governor Olayide Owolabi Adelami.

” Governor Aiyedatiwa has directed the cancellation of restriction of movement on Saturday, 22nd of February 2025 during the monthly environmental sanitation exercise.

“While there will be no restriction of movement on Saturday, residents are still expected to clean their environment.”
