President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Dr. Danjuma Adamu Ismaila as the Rector and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology (NCAT), Zaria.

This was contained in a statement issued by Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy Bayo Onanuga.

Dr. Ismaila, a seasoned expert in air transportation management, transport economic policy, and aviation security, brings extensive experience to the leadership of the country’s premier aviation training institution.

A graduate of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, he earned a degree in Physics in 1989 before furthering his expertise with a Postgraduate Diploma in Transportation.

Over the years, he has attended numerous courses, workshops, and seminars on civil aviation management and transportation.

He is also a distinguished member of the Royal Aeronautical Society (UK) and the Air Transport Research Society, among other professional bodies.

Before his appointment, Dr. Ismaila served as a lecturer at the Federal University of Transportation, Daura, contributing to the academic and professional development of future transport and aviation professionals.

His appointment is expected to strengthen NCAT’s role in training aviation professionals, enhancing Nigeria’s aviation industry, and aligning the institution with global best practices in aviation technology and safety.
