Kebbi Govt reduces Working Hours for Civil Servants during Ramadan

As the Ramadan fasting commences, the Kebbi State Government has reduced official working hours for civil servants in the state.

This is contained in a letter signed by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry for Establishment, Pension and Training, Hafsat Ibrahim Tune and made available to newsmen in Birnin Kebbi on Wednesday.

“The Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr Nasir Idris, has approved the reduction of the official working hours by two hours during the current Ramadan fasting period.”

“The new working hours are Monday to Thursday is 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m, while Friday is 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.,” the perm sec said.

Ibrahim Tune said sequel to the new development, workers across the state were expected to be at their places of work up to 2:00 p.m. from Monday to Thursday and 12:00 p.m. on Friday.

She, however, said the normal official working hours would resume at the end of the Ramadan period.
