On why he has been away from the music scene, Bigiano said, “Sometimes, you have to take a break to be able to come back again. I went on a sabbatical to make my return to music massive.”

He added that despite his break from music, he is not struggling financially, stressing that “I can’t be broke.”

Released in 2011, Dami Duro was the breakout single that launched Davido to stardom.

The track has since been recognised by both local and international critics as one of the “greatest Afrobeats songs of all time.”

However, Bigiano is not officially credited as a co-writer of the song.

Davido is yet to respond to the claim.
