The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) appears to be mentally derailed and completely disoriented. Ademola Adeleke’s defection to the Accord Party has thrown the party into psychological chaos, leaving them confused and unable to think straight.
The APC now operates like a rat cornered by a cat, panicked, desperate, and clearly out of its depth. This political earthquake has exposed a party that has lost its bearings, with no clear strategy or direction. The once-dominant force in Osun politics now stumbles through each day in a state of mental disarray, utterly bewildered by the shifting political landscape.
At this point, Osun people must ask the only logical question: What exactly is APC’s problem?
Why is the Osun APC suddenly restless, agitated, sweating, and speaking from both sides of the mouth simply because Governor Ademola Adeleke made a bold political decision?
Why the panic? Why the loud wailing?
If Adeleke’s move “doesn’t matter,” why is APC crying more than the bereaved? Why the emergency press releases? Why the sleepless nights?
Because deep down, you know the truth that Adeleke remains their biggest political nightmare, inside PDP, outside PDP, and now in Accord Party.
Let me tell you APC people what you already know but hate to hear. Adeleke’s popularity terrifies you because no matter the platform, the man connects with the people, he governs with the people, not over the people, you knows you cannot match Adeleke’s street credibility, performance record, or grassroots acceptance.
You wants to distract Osun people from its own failures
Instead of explaining why you destroyed Osun’s finances during your 12 years of misrule, why the state is still recovering from debts you incurred, instead you kept recycling expired politicians, you prefer to talk about Adeleke’s political choices.
You people(APC) cannot stand Adeleke’s achievements. Every project Adeleke completes reminds you of what you failed to do.
Roads, workers’ welfare, infrastructure revival, civil service reforms. Adeleke is doing in two years what you could not deliver in 12years
That’s why you shout.
That’s why you tremble.
That’s why you attack him daily.
APC’S STATEMENT: A DESPERATE CRY FOR RELEVANCE
You claims Adeleke’s move to Accord Party “will not affect his electoral prospects.” If so, why the essay-length rant?
Why the sudden political analysis from a party that lost woefully in 2022 and still hasn’t recovered? You said:
“Adeleke was rejected by other parties.” From which political dictionary did you learn this?
Adeleke is the one who wins elections repeatedly, you are the ones being rejected consistently at the polls.
You also said “Accord Party lacks national influence.” Did influence save you in Osun in 2022? Did national structures stop you from losing your deposit in multiple polling units?
Parties don’t win elections, people do. And Adeleke belongs to the people.
You claimed , “It will be easier to defeat Adeleke now.”
Really? The same party that keeps losing even its own internal elections wants to defeat Adeleke?
Before thinking of defeating Adeleke, you people should first defeat internal wrangling, mass defections, and the political confusion rocking your camp.
ADELEKE’S MOVE IS STRENGTH, NOT WEAKNESS
Adeleke moved because he refuses to be caged by internal betrayal, political sabotage, and endless power tussles.
Leadership is about courage to walk away from dishonesty and forge a fresh path. Instead of respecting that courage, you wants to twist the narrative.
But Nigerians know better.
Whether in PDP, Accord, or even as an independent candidate, Adeleke remains the leader the people chose and still love.
I know you fears that Adeleke’s movement is growing beyond party lines. You see what is coming in 2026 and you want to reduce the damage early.
You people should face your own troubles, fix your scattered party structure, resolve your factional wars, stop recycling the same political liabilities.
And maybe just maybe you will have time to check your dwindling relevance.
Until then, you should leave Adeleke alone, your noise will not stop his mandate, your panic will not reduce his popularity, your propaganda will not erase his performance.
Governor Ademola Adeleke is moving and Osun people are moving with him. You can either adjust or continue crying hot tears, the choice is yours and you should stop crying over spilt milk.
