Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney has shared his thoughts ahead of Sunday’s Premier League clash between Liverpool and Manchester United, saying the Red Devils would be content with a draw.
Speaking on his podcast, Rooney explained that Liverpool might be feeling the heat after suffering a run of poor results.
The Reds have endured three consecutive defeats to Crystal Palace, Galatasaray and Chelsea before the international break.
Meanwhile, United manager Ruben Amorim will be hoping his side can build momentum following their 2-0 win over Sunderland in their previous outing.
“I think the pressure for this game, I think purely because I don’t think United fans will be expecting three points in this game, where in other games they are,” Rooney said.
“I think they’ll go in a say, if we can get a point we’ll be happy with that, where I think for Liverpool, if Liverpool lose four games in a row and they lose to Man United at Anfield, I think the pressure is definitely on Liverpool for this game.”
