Ondo Hotel Speaks on Missing Vice Principal

The management of Sunview Hotel in Akure, Ondo State, has described the disappearance of a vice principal as “unfortunate” and confirmed it is fully cooperating with security agencies to assist in the investigation.

Speaking with journalists in Akure on Thursday, the hotel’s General Manager, Kenneth Ekpeyong, said, “All standard procedures were followed, and the hotel remains committed to supporting the authorities.”

He added, “The missing vice principal was among 58 participants accommodated at the hotel for a training programme. His absence was noticed when he failed to sign his bill on the final day.”

Ekpeyong further stated, “Efforts to locate him included contacting the programme organisers, and when the family reported him missing, the hotel formally petitioned the police.

The case is now under investigation by the Ondo State Police, with assistance from the anti-kidnapping unit and the Department of State Services.”

He reiterated, “The hotel remains committed to transparency and cooperation as the investigation continues.”
