The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced fresh job opportunities for Nigerians to serve as ad-hoc staff during the upcoming Anambra state 2025 governorship election.

The positions include Supervisory Presiding Officers (SPOs), Presiding Officers (POs), Assistant Presiding Officers (APOs), Registration Area Technicians (RATECHs), and Registration Area Centre (RAC) Managers.

According to INEC, the online registration portal, INECPRES, will be open to the public for three weeks from Monday, September 15, to Sunday, October 5, 2025.

Eligibility Requirements:

Via X, INEC stated that interested applicants must be residents of Anambra, Delta, Enugu, or Imo states.

The commission further listed specific eligibility requirements tied to source institutions.

For instance, SPOs must be permanent staff of the Federal Public or Civil Service within Grade Levels 10 to 14, while POs and APOs can be serving corps members, recent NYSC alumni (not later than four years post-service), INEC staff, or penultimate students of federal tertiary institutions.

RAC Managers must be heads of institutions hosting RACs or suitable staff at Grade Levels 07 and above, while RATECHs are strictly for qualified INEC ICT staff.

INEC reminded applicants that neutrality remains paramount.

“Applicants must not be political party members, nor should they have expressed support for any candidate or party,” the commission noted.

The statement added: “Applicants must reside in the state they are applying for, except for RATECHs who are INEC staff.”

The commission explained that applications are strictly online through the registration portal: pres.inecnigeria.org

It also stated that mobile users could apply via the accessible link: presmobile.inecnigeria.org

INEC further provided help desk contacts, including Adeaze (09127675926), Bolaji (08059653879), and Rukayat (08039301522), to assist applicants facing difficulties.
