Otunba Bamidele Akingboye (OBA), the Social Democratic Party (SDP) candidate for the 2024 Ondo State gubernatorial election, has passed away at his residence in Victoria Garden City (VGC), Lagos.
A prominent businessman, he was CEO of Benshore Maritime and Clog Oil Systems, and President of WeAfrica Group. He was widely respected for his leadership, philanthropy, and contributions to community development.
He is survived by his wives, children, grandchildren, and siblings. Details of his burial and memorial arrangements will be communicated in due course.
The announcement of his passing was made in a statement released by his Personal Assistant and Media Adviser, Oyeniyi Iwakun, who described him as “a man of unwavering integrity, an accomplished businessman, and a true community builder who lived a fulfilled and purposeful life.”
