EXECUTIVE PRESS RELEASE

Yesterday, 17th July 2025, marked a historic and remarkable milestone in the annals of the National Union of Okitipupa Local Government Students (NUOLGS) as a new chapter of leadership commenced. The Executive Arm of the Union was officially inaugurated on this day, ushering in a fresh administration and a NEW ERA of purposeful and committed leadership.
The transition of leadership was duly acknowledged and supported by the Emeritus President of the Union, who, through his representative, extended warm congratulations and heartfelt felicitations to the incoming administration.
The inauguration ceremony, held at the Okitipupa Local Government Secretariat, witnessed the presence of notable dignitaries and respected personalities. The Executive Chairman of Okitipupa Local Government, Hon. Soga Andrew Ogunsakin, warmly received all student leaders, stakeholders, and members of his cabinet.
Also in attendance were: The Vice Chairman of Okitipupa Local Government, The Secretary to the Local Government, The chief of staff to the Chairman,The Leader of the Legislative House, Rt. Hon. Dada Adeleke, The chief press Secretary to the chairman, Honourable Councillors from various wards, The Legal Adviser to the Council.
Several past student leaders and stakeholders also graced the occasion, including:
Comr. Agboola Olatujoye (Former NUOLGS National President, Secretary NUOLGS Board of Trustees, and Coordinator, IYDM), Comr. Akinloye Adesusi (Former President, Ukoyade Student Union), Comr. Oluwayomi Olukayode (Former NUOLGS Secretary), Comr. Oki Taiwo (Former NUOLGS Welfare Officer), Comr. Similoluwa, Comr. Owowa Chris (Special Adviser on Media to the Hon. Member Representing Okitipupa/Irele Federal Constituency), and many other distinguished student leaders and union stakeholders.
The Executive officers were formally inaugurated and presented with their Certificates of Return by the Chairman. In his address, Hon. Soga Andrew Ogunsakin advised the newly inaugurated officers to view their positions not as avenues for personal gain, but as platforms to serve selflessly. He urged them to lead with integrity, transparency, and vision.
In his goodwill message, Comr. Agboola Olatujoye encouraged the new Executive team to remain steadfast in their responsibilities, placing the welfare and interests of the student community above all else.
Delivering his inaugural speech, the newly inaugurated NUOLGS National President, Sen. Omoleminu Adeoye , expressed profound gratitude to the Executive Chairman for his constant support, fatherly guidance, and accessibility to the youth. He also acknowledged the unwavering support of the Deputy Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Gbegudu Ololade, ably represented by Mr. Tomide. The President further appreciated the mentorship of Comr. Agboola Olatujoye, describing him as a leader who stands for justice, youth empowerment, and the welfare of students.
The ceremony concluded with a group photograph session featuring the newly inaugurated Executives, dignitaries, and stakeholders.
