The Ondo State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, has released the school calendar for 2025/2026 academic session in the state.
A circular by the state Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, said the First-Term academic session for the calendar year, will run for 14 weeks, as schools will resume on Monday, September 15 , 2025 and proceed on vacation on Friday, December 12, 2025.
According to the statement ,”There will be a mid-term break on Friday, October 31, 2025, or November 3, 2025, while the First-Term holiday will run for three weeks, beginning from Monday, December 15, 2025 to Friday, January 2, 2026.
The Second-Term academic session will run for 13 weeks, beginning from Friday,January 5 to April 2, 2026.
It said there will be a mid-term break either on Friday 20 or Monday, February 23, 2026, while the second term holiday will run for 3 weeks, beginning from Tuesday, April 7 to Friday, April 24, 2026
Also, the Third-Term 2025/2026 academy session will run for 12 weeks, beginning from Monday, April 27 to Friday, July 24, 2026.
It added that there will a mid-term break on either Friday 12 or Monday, June 15, 2026, while students will proceed on 7 week Third-Term holiday on Monday ,July 27, 2026.
They are to resume for a new academic session on Friday, September 11, 2026.
The circular signed by the Administrative Secretary, Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Dr Akindele Ige, said all public and private schools in the state are to adhere strictly to the academic calendar.
The circular also directed that all public holidays declared by both federal and state governments are to be precisely observed by both public and private schools.
