88th birthday: Obasanjo’s newbooks for public presentation today

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo will today make a public presentation of his two new books as part of activities to commemorate his 88th birthday celebrations in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.

The books are: Lest We Forget: Slavery, Slave Trade, Emancipation and Reparation, and Nigeria: Past and the Future.

A statement yesterday in Abeokuta by his Special Assistant on Media, Kehinde Akinyemi, hinted that the ceremony would also include a public lecture on slavery and colonisation.
